Interlibrary Loan and Request-A-Copy: The library makes every attempt to locate and borrow materials for study, research, or teaching. The purpose of Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is to obtain, upon request by the patron, materials not available in the user’s local [i.e. Borland] library. The normal turnaround time for interlibrary loans is 2-5 work days.

Request-A-Copy is a photocopy service of Borland Library material for affiliates who, due to time constraints, are not able to photocopy material themselves.

To submit a request for either service, please fill out the Interlibrary Loan and Request-A-Copy form.

Photocopying: Self-service photocopiers are available in the library. Copies cost $.13 per page. Photocopy cards may be purchased from a vending machine next to the photocopiers. There is a one-time cost of $.35 for each card. Card holders can add value to the card at the vending machine. The vending maching will accept $1, $5, $10 and $20 bills. Some departments have photocopy cards available to their staff. However, these cards are kept in the departments, not in the library.

Reference Services: Library staff can support your clinical and research needs by helping to locate factual information related to disease, therapy or procedures. Look for the ask a reference question form under Services and Forms. Usual turnaround time for reference questions is 1-2 business days.
