Library Information for Oak Hammock Residents: Getting Started

Here's where you can find helpful visual guides to begin to use the Library's electronic resources. .

Getting Started

Oak Hammock residents have full library privileges as residents- this includes checkout of library materials, off-campus access to e-resources that the library subscribes to, and  interlibrary loan privileges. Sybil Farwell, the head of the Oak Hammock Library Interest group. has prepared a step by step guide to the process, and this file (UF Library Access Instructions) at the bottom of this page. Here are quick links to  useful resources:

  • Application for Library Privileges: Fill out this form if this is the FIRST time that you are requesting library privileges. Some helpful hints:  be sure to have your Gator One card handy (If you have not yet received a Gator One card, see an Oak Hammock staff member for more information). When filling out the form, BE SURE TO LIST OAK HAMMOCK AS THE FIRST LINE IN YOUR MAILING ADDRESS. This will help library staff give Oak Hammock residents the proper status in library records.  Once you have completed this process, notify Paul McDonough at pmcd@ufl.edu. Please note that if you are solely interested in materials that are available online, you will not need to do this. If you are interested in checking out physical materials, however, you must fill this form out.
  • Create Gatorlink Account: if you have received an email with an invitation code to create a Gatorlink account, use this  link to start the process.
  • Resend Gatorlink Invite: If you need a new invitation to initiate the Gatorlink account process, use this link.
  • Forgot or Change Password: If you have forgotten your Gatorlink password, or have received notification that it is time to change your password, use this link to initiate the process.
