Welcome international students! We have designed this guide to help you navigate the George A. Smathers Libraries and all the services we offer.
In "US University Libraries", you will find a short overview of how academic libraries in the US work and documents to help you understand and translate the specific vocabulary we use in the libraries.
In "UF Libraries" you will find an overview of each of the UF Libraries and what they offer.
"Navigating the Libraries" will help you get started with us, for off campus access, copying and printing. You will also learn about getting help and registering for workshops.
In "Finding Materials" you will get explanations about how to find resources, including books and ebooks, non-English databases and foreign press, and select the languages you want.
In "Responsible Research" you will learn everything you need to know about responsible research and how to avoid research misconduct and plagiarism.
In "Language Skill Tools" you will find a list of useful English as a Second Language links and tools, as well as links to English programs you can apply to.
In "Community Resources" you will find resources not offered by the library that you may find useful.
