Finding Books and E-books in Primo (Library Catalog)

The best way to search for books and e-books will be to use our new Primo search tool. This tool searches across many of our resources including our complete library catalog. Click the red circles to learn more about the search features.

Books and E-books not at UF?

For books not at UF you can either borrow them through the Inter-Library Loan (ILL) Request.

Inter-Library Loan is a service that can provide you (a UF library user) with materials that are not available from the UF Libraries – either copies (of articles and book chapters), or loans (books, microfilm, media, etc.).

Your Gator1 card allows you to check out library materials and you can use your online account to manage your loans. Find out more about your borrowing privileges.

Finding Non-English Language Materials

Research Databases: The following databases offer language restrictions:

  • You can change your preferences when you sign in for your EBSCO account with your GatorLink ID.Go to MyEBSCO on the top right of the screen and select My Preferences. Once you do that, you can Select your language from a list.

  • You can also filter search results by language after you enter a search. Just go to All Filters and when you click, a pop-up will appear allowing you to filter by language results.

  • You will need to scroll down on filters to find the Languages filter.
