AMCHA AMCHA, The code word that helped survivors identify fellow Jews in war-ravaged Europe, short for AMCHA YISRAEL, meaning the people of Israel, now stands for another kind of support system. Established in 1987 by a group of Holocaust survivors and devoted mental health professionals, AMCHA set out to create a framework for mutual aid, memory processing and grief resolution. Now, more than three decades later, AMCHA provides a full range of psychological and social support services to Holocaust survivors and their families. AMCHA continues to be a home and safe place for them to unburden their hearts and share their stories with others.
Austrian National Fund for Victims of National Socialism The National Fund of the Republic of Austria for Victims of National Socialism was established in 1995 to express Austria's special responsibility towards the victims of National Socialism. It renders payments to victims of National Socialism, in particular to those who had previously received little or no compensation; to those in need of special assistance or those whose personal circumstances warrant relief.
Holocaust Survivor Children | Missing Identity In the spring of 1997 the Israel Broadcasting Authority – Israeli Television featured two documentaries called “Missing Identity”. The first program was produced as a joint venture with Polish TV. The profiles of twelve child survivors of the Holocaust, born roughly between 1935 – 1943, were presented in the hope that viewers in Israel or Poland would recognize the children and be able to help them in their search, thus solving the problems of their identities. In Israel the Missing Identity programs were produced by Vered Berman.Two of the Israeli viewers watching “Missing Identity”, Moshe Chertoff from Kibbutz Shomrat and Rami Rosengarten from Haifa, suggested that making a website for this project would enable people, not only from Poland and Israel, but from the whole world , to help. They enlisted the help of Netvision, an Israeli Hosting provider. That was the beginning of this site. Anika Kanter Movchine from Kibbutz Shomrat took upon herself the task of webmaster and webdesigner .Eva Floersheim from Shadmot Dvorah had worked as a researcher for the two TV programs. As she is also a member of the Galil Genealogical Society, the Missing Identity website became for some years a project of the Society under their president Tali Hadar z”l from Kibbutz Mizra. Erela Goldschmidt z”l from Shadmot Dvorah, a child survivor herself, was also an important person in collecting the relevant information from the other child survivors.

Second Generation Network (UK) The Second Generation Network is interested in and explores the effect of the Holocaust on its Members’ lives. It is a UK-based organisation which welcomes Members from around the world. Currently, we hold Discussion Group meetings, presentations and workshops on Zoom, while also having regional groups in various parts of the UK (see below for further details of regional groups). The Network arranges joint events with the Wiener Holocaust Library and regularly participates in Jewish Book Week. We have also co-organised the Kindertransport Conference at UCL, London in 2019 and the Intergenerational Conference at the Institute of Education, London in 2015, and participated in the Working Groups on Descendants of Survivors Conference in Cologne.

Our experienced staff conducts research in more than 25 languages and uses all the resources available at the Museum to answer a request—archives and collections, ITS Digital Archive records, library records, and more.

Organizations

Anti-Defamation League: ADL is a leading anti-hate organization. Founded in 1913 in response to an escalating climate of antisemitism and bigotry, its timeless mission is to stop the defamation of the Jewish people, and to secure justice and fair treatment to all. Today, ADL continues to fight all forms of hate with the same vigor and passion. ADL is a global leader in exposing extremism and delivering anti-bias education, and is a leading organization in training law enforcement.

Campaign Against Antisemitism: Campaign Against Antisemitism (UK) consists of eight teams which collaborate closely to expose and counter antisemitism through education and zero-tolerance enforcement of the law. All of our teams are run by volunteers who give their time, commitment and talent to make Campaign Against Antisemitism the success that it is.

Generations of the Shoah International: A worldwide network of children and grandchildren of Holocaust survivors, linked together with the common goals of preserving and honoring our legacy, sharing resources and programming ideas, providing emotional support to our members, and tackling issues of mutual interest. Simon Wiesenthal Center: The Simon Wiesenthal Center is a Jewish global human rights organization researching the Holocaust and hate in a historic and contemporary context. The Center confronts anti-Semitism, hate and terrorism, promotes human rights and dignity, stands with Israel, defends the safety of Jews worldwide, and teaches the lessons of the Holocaust for future generations.

Associations

Association of Holocaust Organizations The Association of Holocaust Organizations (AHO) was established in 1985 to serve as an international network of organizations and individuals for the advancement of Holocaust education, remembrance and research. Among its functions and services are annual conferences held every June, a winter conference held every January, co-sponsorship of other conferences and seminars, and an active listserv for members. There are also regional branches which meet independently. The AHO is governed by a board of directors, which is elected by and from the membership at its annual business meeting. The term of office is three years. The AHO is run on a voluntary basis. Membership dues cover the expenses of the organization.
International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance
World Holocaust Forum The Foundation was established in 2004 ahead of the First International Forum “Let my People Live!” in Krakow, Poland, marking the sixtieth anniversary of the liberation of KL Auschwitz-Birkenau. Recognising that the world will soon lose the last survivors of the Holocaust, and in light of the troubling upsurge of global antisemitism, the World Holocaust Forum Foundation is committed to preserving the memory of the Holocaust and to fostering tolerance between religions and nationalities in the aspiration of eliminating all forms of antisemitism, racism, and xenophobia.
