Reporting PCC Statistics

PCC Statistics Criteria:

NACO Categories

•New NARs (new NACO authority records except for series)

•New SARs (new NACO series authority records)

•Changed NARs (updated NACO authority records except for series)

•Changed SARs (updated NACO series authority records)

BIBCO Categories

•New BRs: Newly authenticated BIBCO records, whether original cataloging or authentication of existing non-BIBCO records. (This applies where there is no 042 field in the existing record or where an original record is being created.)

•Changed BRs: Updates to existing BIBCO records. (This applies to existing BIBCO records that are already coded with "pcc" in an 042 field.)

CONSER Categories

•New CRs: Newly authenticated CONSER records, whether original cataloging orauthentication of existing non-CONSER records. (This applies where there is no 042 field in the existing record or where an original record is being created.)

•Maintenance of CRs: Updates to existing CONSER as well as updating CONSER-information in non-CONSER records. (This mostly refers to adding a 773, 776, 780 or 785 of a CONSER record to a non-CONSER record.)


SACO Categories

•New LCSH: Proposals for new records in the LCSH, LCGFT, LCDGT, or LCMPTvocabularies.

•Changed LCSH: Proposals for updates to existing records in the LCSH, LCGFT, LCDGT, orLCMPT vocabularies, including cancellation proposals.

•New LCC: Proposals for new LCC numbers.

•Changed LCC: Proposals for changes to existing LCC numbers.

Note: Statistics are for the number of proposals submitted not the number accepted.
